 The closest supermarket in the area

 Trere are more options closest to PERAMA which is the capital of the municipatlity of Mylopotamos a few hundred meters further, such as:

 The best bakery in the area, at the entrance of Perama, only 7 minutes away (by car) is called "XILOFOURNOS"

 There is also a grill restaurant there, called "THRAKA", which offers delivery service:

 There are two restaurants near the house at a walking distance

 MELIDONI CAVE, a famous cave, is at a very short distance from the house

 At the same area (Melidoni Village) there is a very popular restaurant with a unique menu and good prices called "CAROB n OLIVE"

 There is a traditional village near Perama called MARGARITES, which is famous for its pottery

 The best restaurant there with also great view is "MANDALOS"

 Panormo is another beachside village near the house. There is a really nice tavern there with sea view called "BARBA ANDREA"

 There is also a picturesque alley there with many restaurants and some bars. A really nice café bar there is "ELIA"

 OUR FAVORITE BEACHES ARE:

 At the north side of the prefecture:

 Baja Beach Club. A really nice beach club near Rethymno, 15 minutes away by car

 Rethymno beach. The big beach at Rethymno. Just 20 minutes away

 KARAVOSTASI BEACH. The best beach in Bali just 10 minutes away by car. Bali has three more beaches but this has the clearest waters.

There are also two very nice taverns with great view there

 Some very nice beaches at southern Rethymno are:

 Damnoni beach

 Sxoinaria beach

 Ammoudaki beach

 Kalypso Beach. Unique landscape! A pirate's fjord! A must see!!!
